Boston National Historical Park Kicks Off Construction on Historic Building 107 at Charlestown Navy Yard
Boston National Historical Park has started a roughly $50.2 million rehabilitation of Building 107 at the Charlestown Navy Yard, paid for by the Legacy Restoration Fund under the Great American Outdoors Act.
Built in 1904 and now a national historic landmark, the building once housed the tradespeople who kept the Navy Yard running. NPS has used it since 1985 for workshops, offices and the park's museum and archive collections.
When finished, it will be the park's headquarters, bringing its administrative, maintenance, interpretation and curatorial teams under one roof.
